Winter weather alerts for Northwest and Midwest

The Northwest, Northern Rockies, and parts of the Midwest will see a winter blast today, delivering mixed precipitation, ice, and snow. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a number of winter weather alerts on Tuesday.

Winter Storm Warning: southern and northeastern Minnesota; northeastern Wisconsin.

Ice Storm Warning: eastern Nebraska and southwestern Iowa.

Winter Weather Advisory: northwest Oregon; northwest and eastern Washington; northern Idaho; central Montana; western Wyoming; East-central Colorado; northwestern and north-central Kansas; south-central, central, and eastern Nebraska; northwestern and southwestern Iowa; southeastern South Dakota; southwestern, southern, and northeast Minnesota; northern Wisconsin.

Thunderstorms across eastern half of US, some severe

The eastern half of the US will experience thunderstorms on Tuesday, some will be severe, spanning from Texas and the Midwest, and extending across the South, Ohio Valley, and into parts of the Mid-Atlantic.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Missouri, southeastern Iowa, western and northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin.

Eta prompts flood and weather warnings across Florida

Thunderstorms combined with the outer bands of Tropical Storm Eta will bring hazardous weather to parts of the Southeast on Tuesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a number of flood and storm-related weather warnings around the Southeast for Tuesday.

Flash flood watch: All of the southern Florida.

Coastal flood advisory: In Florida, along the coast from Jacksonville south to Daytona Beach, extending inland near Gainesville and Ocala.

High surf advisory: In Florida, along the coast from Daytona Beach South beyond Fort Pierce.

Small craft advisory: Around the entirety of Florida coastal waters, including the keys, and extending through the Gulf of Mexico along the coast of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana; and the Atlantic, along the coast of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
