These natural disasters are terrifying when they arrive, but they also leave behind extensive damage that can take years to recover from — costing billions in cleanup and recovery.
In fact, hurricanes Katrina and Harvey are tied for costliest hurricane on record in the Atlantic. Both of these storms resulted in approximately $125 billion in damage.
